Welcome to our Parish Website!

This website is currently undergoing a major update, during which some pages/posts may temporarily be taken off-line.  It is envisaged that this process will be completed by mid-July.

Please be aware that owing to the current Covid-19 pandemic, many of the services and activities detailed on this website are presently unable to take place.  When the current restrictions are lifted, full details will appear on this website and within the Parish Information Leaflet below.

Regular information updates and resources relating to our response to the COV-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak will appear below in due course.  Do be sure to bookmark this page and come back regularly!

In light of recent guidelines from the Government, certain activities, including material donations to the Bestwood and Bullwell FoodBank, have been suspended until further notice.  Monetary donations are still possible on-line and are most welcome.  Regrettably, owing to the restrictions placed upon social contact, only very limited essential practical support will be available until further notice.  Access to daily Bible reflections and on-line Sunday services will continue to be available here on the parish website.  The church will reopen for personal private prayer from Monday, 22nd June between 10:00am and 12noon (See poster below).

Supporting the Bestwood Foodbank

Although donations are desperately needed during the current COV-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak, our abily to collect and distribute such donations  has had to be suspended for the foreseeable future as a direct consequence of the recent tighter restrictions placed upon social contact by the Government.  Please rest assured that this service will be restored as soon as possible.

Monetary donations are urgently needed!
Please visit the foodbank website at
to make monetary donations that will go towards providing essential provisions to help people who are currently experiencing very serious needs.

Faith in Action (James 2:17)

There is a special FoodBank trolly in the crush hall for members of Saint Michael’s to donate items of food which will be delivered regularly to the Bestwood FoodBank.

This facility is available for food to be dropped off both on Sundays and during the week for those taking part in mid-week activities.

Please refer to the weekly notice sheet for details of urgent requirements.

Contact David Jones on (0115) 922 4078 for further information.
