The Leadership of Saint Michael’s is shared by various individuals and groups:
The Vicar, who holds overall responsibility for the spiritual and temporal life of the Church as directed by the Diocesan Bishop. The Vicar chairs meetings of the PCC and Standing Committee, and is an ex-officio member of all other committees.
The Vicar and Wardens Team, who meet fortnightly to plot the overall direction of the church and its mission and ministry, and to manage its day to day affairs.
The Clergy and Readers Team, who meet monthly to co-ordinate the liturgical, teaching and pastoral life of the church.
The Parochial Church Council (PCC), who meet bi-monthly and hold the legal responsibility of the church as its charitable trustees.
The PCC is assisted in its duties by the work of its various sub-committees – currently: Mission, Ministry, Worship and Resources.
The work of the PCC is transacted between its meetings by the Standing Committee, who also co-ordinate the agenda and direction of its meetings, and those of the various sub-committees.
