Celtic Prayer

Every Monday at 10am, people gather in the Church Centre for half an hour of prayer, focusing on the overall needs of the parish and of those who are unwell, whether in mind, body or spirit. It is an opportunity to pause quietly in a brief respite from normal life, just as those in the monastic life have done for centuries.

Our prayers for others are shared within the framework of the short liturgy of Morning Prayer produced by the Northumbria Community (see link below).

If you would value prayer during this time, whether for yourself, another individual or a specific situation, please pick up a prayer request form from the church vestibule or the church office and fill it in.

If you are requesting prayer for another individual, please check that they are happy for this to happen before submitting your request. Requests can be left in the church office, on the prayer board in the church vestibule, or emailed to Christine Cleave on christine.cleave@gmail.com

If you are interested, the text of the prayers can be found at www.northumbriacommunity.org. On the homepage, follow the signposted section to ‘Join us in our Daily Prayer’.
