Who are we?
We at St Michael’s are anxious to provide as much help, comfort and support as we can to those who are bereaved. To this end, we have a team of fully trained volunteer listeners who receive regular training and supervision from qualified counsellors.

When you lose someone you love, it can be a devastating experience. You may feel confused and overwhelmed, as you adjust to life without your loved one. Sometimes you may prefer to be alone or with the comfort of your family. There may be other times when you would like to talk about your feelings with someone else.
The Bereavement Care Team seeks to provide listeners who are available to walk with you on your journey through grief.
Please note that we provide listening and support rather than a counselling service.
When and where do we meet?
This service is offered to individuals as and when it is needed, rather than at specific dates and times. However, we do host special ‘Bereavement Events’ such as coffee mornings and afternoon teas. Please refer to the home page for details of the next upcoming event.
