The Electoral Roll is the official membership list of Saint Michael’s as presented to the Diocese following the Annual General Meeting. If you are on the Electoral Roll, you are entitled to nominate, be nominated for, and vote for membership of the PCC and Deanery Synod.
To qualify for admission on the Electoral Roll, you will need to be over 16 years of age, baptised, and either: (a) a member of the Church of England living in the parish, (b) a member of the Church of England, or church in communion with the Church of England, not living in the Parish but having worshipped habitually in the parish for the 6 months prior to enrolment, or (c) be a member in good standing of a church, not in communion with the Church of England, which subscribes to the doctrine of the Holy Trinity and also declare yourself to be a member of the Church of England and having habitually attended public worship in the parish for the 6 months prior to enrolment.
NB: Please note that all references to the term ‘parish’ above relate to the ‘ecclesiastical’ rather than the ‘civil’ parish.
Application forms are available from the Information Desk, from the Parish Office during office hours, or from the Electoral Roll Officer, Mrs Anne Mellon, on (0115) 922 1443.
